# 1- Le choix de Jess : Imagine / John Lennon
Une chanson très symbolique, qui décrit le "plan" des daerens et expliquer pourquoi Jess accepte d'être l'hôte d'Angel. Je vous renvoie aux paroles, elles disent tout ce qu'il y a à dire.

# 2- Conversations avec le Médiateur : Mind Reading / James Newton Howard
Un morceau instrumental, dont la tonalité est plutôt mystérieuse, à la limite de la peur... Exactement ce qu'inspire le Médiateur à Jessie. C'est le genre de musique que j'imagine bien résonner dans les niveaux de l'inconscience. De plus le titre était des plus appropriés.

# 3- Les songes de Lucie : Live Forever / Oasis
A la fois très vive et assez triste, cette chanson retranscrit bien tant par la musique que par les paroles l'état d'esprit de Lucie alors qu'elle est entre vie et mort, et doit choisir vers laquelle de ces deux alternatives elle doit aller.

# 4- Le monde de Fanny : The sound of silence / Simon & Garfunkel
Il me fallait un morceau triste, sombre, qui représentait bien l'état d'esprit de Fanny, et qui ait un coté onirique, pour souligner l'irréalité du monde dans lequel elle vit. De plus les paroles de cette chanson correspondent à merveille à ce personnage. "Hello darkness, my old friend..." Pour Fanny, les ténèbres sont un refuge.

# 5- Apparitions (thème d'Holly) : Ice Dance / Danny Elfman
On ne sait jamais vraiment si Holly est réelle ou si ses apparitions ne sont dues qu'à l'imaginaire d'Andy... Je voulais un morceau sans paroles, quelque chose qui ait une dimension un peu spectrale mais qui soit poétique... Danny Elfman sait tout à fait transcrire cette frontière entre rêve et réalité dans sa musique, et ce thème était tout désigné pour Holly.

# 6- Par les yeux d'Angel : What a wonderful world / Louis Armstrong
Le regard que porte Angel sur le monde a parfois quelque chose d'émerveillé. Comme le chante ici Louis Armstrong, elle voit le ciel bleu, les roses rouges, et se dit que quelque part, le monde est un merveilleux endroit. La douceur de la mélodie, les paroles, tout dans cette chanson me renvoie à Angel.

# 7- La conversion d'Oz : Sin City / Meredith Brooks
Violente, et pourtant très belle, cette chanson collait tout à fait au personnage et à ce qu'il a vécu. Elle exprime non seulement bien la douleur d'Oz face à la perte de l'être aimé, mais aussi son sentiment par rapport au monde humain, comme lui, elle parle d'illusion, de tromperie.

# 8 - Les tourments de Christal : Because / Elliot Smith
Parce que le ciel est bleu il me fait pleurer...  C'est le monde, tout simplement, qui blesse Christal, tant sa perception de la douleur humaine est accrue. J'aime beaucoup cette chanson qui à mon sens traduit bien la sensibilité et la fragilité du personnage.

# 9- Diana et Lauren : La vie en rose / Edith Piaf
Beaucoup de chansons me viennent en tête lorsque j'écris une scène entre Lauren et Diana, plus ou moins gaies ou plus ou moins tristes, selon les moments. Mais celle-ci reste une des plus récurentes, et j'aime l'image qu'elle renvoie de l'amour. La simplicité et le bonheur. Un peu de rose dans un monde parfois très noir.

# 10- Confrontations : The Bitter End / Placebo
Autant pour la lutte entre Oz et Tam que pour toutes les autres, ce morceau exprime à la fois la violence et la douleur... Quand je l'écoute il m'évoque une lutte entre deux adversaires qui se font tout aussi mal à eux-même qu'à l'autre. C'est cette idée que je voulais retranscrir lorsque deux anges viennent à s'affronter.

# 11- Les métamorphoses de Kathy : Impromptu for twelve fingers / Michael Nyman
Morceau instrumental, au piano. C'est tout à fait le genre de musique que Kathleen écoute, et ce que j'imagine que l'on entend lors de ses introspections. Ce récital passe par différents styles, qui correspondent aux états d'âmes changeant de Kathy, à ses différentes évolutions au long du texte.

# 12- Entre Eve, Jess et Angel : Human Nature / Eric Serra
Encore un instrumental. Un morceau qui porte bien son nom, et qui correspondait donc tout à fait au ton que j'aimerai donner à la série. Il donne un sentiment de fragilité, d'impuissance presque, mais laisse entendre à la fin que tout n'est pas joué, et que rien n'est impossible...

# 13- La théorie de Tam : Somewhere over the rainbow / Judy Gardland
Cette très belle chanson, à la fois triste, rêveuse et pleine d'espoir, décrit à merveille Tam, et sa vision d'un monde où humains et daerens se seraient mutuellement aidés. Lorsque Tam dit à Eve que ce monde est "au delà de l'arc-en-ciel", elle fait référence à cette chanson, écrite pour Le Magicien d'Oz, d'où Oz tient lui-même son nom.
